I guess one of the things about Blogtoberfest is that I get the opportunity to go through the draft blog posts that I have and clear them out. Although I would probably need more than 31 days to do this in ...
So a while back I came across this list of things to do to be creative. Now most of us crafty types tend not to have this problem, we are overflowing with ideas .. but just sometimes we get a "crafty block" and we need to take time out to re-charge.

Relax and watch a bit of tv. Somehow a bit of rest works wonders for the creative juices!
Magazines always get my creative juices flowing and get me thinking about new projects. A bath or a bike ride also seem to give me the time out needed to recharge.
However, sometimes when the mojo isn't there I just surrender to it and wait till it returns.
Sometimes I find clearly the clutter in my head helps give me some more space. I do this by attending to all the house or admin things that fill up our lives and my mental to-do-list - cleaning, tidying, filing, paying bills...once I have a session of that I find I feel more freer to do think about being creative.
I tend to lie on the floor in my sewing room and soak up the atmosphere. From the floor, I look at all my boxes of fabric, and shelves of books, and all the other stuff that is in there. I start to think about what's in the boxes and this leads me on to ideas.
My sewing room is my haven of sorts and the air is full of creativity, you just have to let it under your skin.
